As the heat and humidity baked the Ormstown pitch, the Beavers 2nd team took to the field. The weather played a contributing factor in the whole game with both sides dropping several balls and at times poor decision making.

The Beavers had a try by Dave Rennie called back as the referee said that the ball was knocked on while in the process of touching it down. This only seemed to motivate the team as they kept Ormstown pinned in their own half leading to Justin Scharf, playing in his first game, running in a try on the wing. The score at the end of the first half was 5-5.

In the second half Ormstown began to use their size and strength in their pack to move the ball down the field. This lead to a try and conversion by Ormstown to take a 12-5 lead with only 9 minutes left in the game. The Beavers were not to be outdone and moved the ball deep into Ormstowns half. A wise play by Dave Rennie to spin the ball out to a screaming Jason Latkowcer lead to a try by captain on the day Justin Lalonde.

With no time remaining in the game and the pressure on Dave Rennie converted the try resulting in a final score of 12-12.
