SENIOR MEN

Beavers II marched into the provincial finals this weekend to play the Barrhaven Scottish for the championship in Montreal.

The Beavers last played the Scottish when they gave our 2s a pretty solid thrashing (roughly 39-0) in August, so the men knew they were going to have to leave it all on the field to end the fall season.

And so the Beavs came out swinging, playing a first half with such ferocity that we were accused of fielding our Firsts squad. Unfortunately, a last-play conversion by the Scottish sealed our fate 26-25.

Although we didn’t manage to take home the hardware, the last two weeks have demonstrated an unreal level of on-field development from our players. As we stay the course on our rebuild, there is no telling what the Beavers will be able to accomplish going into next season.

Score: 26-25 Loss

Tries: Cummer, Gunner, Pouss

Converts: Sutherland (2)

Penalty Kicks: Sutherland (2)

Man of the Match: Sutherland

Hardest Worker: Gunner

SENIOR WOMEN

The Banshees have signed up for the new EORU 7s league for the fall.

The EORU is still trying to get a few more women’s teams into the mix, but we’re hopeful to get a few days of games in this fall season.
