A tough Saturday for the OBBRFC this week, but a lot of opportunities to live up to our values of Hard Work, Perseverance, Solidarity and Fun.

The Junior Beavers played the Irish in a tough match. The kids showed intensity and integrity in the face of a squad that seemed intent to start throwing fisticuffs on the drop of a hat. This is the first time the boys have lost to the Irish in the last 5 years, so the Junior Beavers are eager for their rematch on August 8.

The Senior Beavers 2nd XV travelled to Mont Tremblant and put up a very disciplined side who managed to outplay their competition for the better part of the game. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always result in a W, but shout-out goes to Tyler O’Meara for his first-ever try.

The Senior Banshees stayed in Ottawa to host Sherbrooke. It was a grinding match, but unfortunately the women were unable to get up on the scoreboard. Huge mention goes to Junior Banshee Kishia who played her first senior game, and she had a heck of a game in the process – huge pressure and one of the fastest players on the field!
