While juniors are welcome to attend practices now, official start to junior rugby will be June 11th. On June 11th, we’ll be providing registration information for those not yet signed up and a parents information session after the practice. The practice will run from 6pm until approximately 7:30.

Registration details can be found in the Join section of the website.  Registration fee for juniors is $250, which includes a club t-shirt.

Practices will run from 6pm to approximately 730 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesday practices will be held at Merivale High School and Thursday practices will take place at Immaculata High School.

Games for both Junior Banshees and Junior Beavers will be played on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Full schedules are attached (Jr Banshees Schedule 2013, Jr Beavers Schedule 2013). Our head coaches for the summer will be Seb Cray  for the Beavers and Jen Huntley for Banshees.

The club’s objective in running junior rugby programs is to encourage the growth of the sport and to develop players for the future. If you or your child is interested in playing junior rugby but the registration fee is an issue, please touch base with one of the contact points listed above. There are a number of volunteer hour opportunities available over the course of the season that can be used to reduce an individual player’s dues as well as to count towards high school volunteer hour requirements.

Where: Cedar Glen Golf Club  

When: Sunday June 30th, 2013

Format: Best ball or stroke play.  

Cost: $110 for Men, $90 for Women

The tournament will consist of 18 holes of golf (best ball or stroke play depending on your skill level) which will include a cart, a buffet breakfast at the Clocktower on Bank St. and a bus ride to and from the course with cheap beer available for purchase.  

The day will start at CT Bank for a buffet breakfast.  After breakfast the bus will head to the course (located in Williamsburg, ON.) where carts and tee times will be assigned.  After your round, the bus will depart from the course and head back to the Clocktower Bank st. where you will be able to drop off your clubs.  The bus will then drop golfers off at a location on Elgin st.  

The Clocktower Brew Pub and Carlsberg Beer are sponsoring this event.

Equipment:   Participants must bring a snack/juice, school rugby jersey, rugby shorts, cleats, mouth guard, water bottle and OHIP (health card) number.

Paperwork:   All players must complete a Rugby Canada waiver form and player information sheet prior to participation in trials.  Attach a picture of yourself (preferably shoulders up) to the player information sheet.

All players under 18 years old must have the Rugby Canada waiver form signed by a parent or guardian.
